In some respects this series of drawings resurrects a style of procedural line used by the artist from 2003 to 2005 in his 2003, 2004, and 2005 calendars, and in the online work Cogs, Cages, Clusters and Knots, or 3CK for short (Flash required).
But the series is also inspired by a scribble included in last year's calendar, made by the artist's son, Arwin. The 2020 Artcontext Calendar reinterprets the felt marker aesthetic, departing on a journey of controlled randomness.
